As an export earner, frozen shrimp is the most important marine product in India and she has been ranked as the second major shrimp exporting country in the world. The Marine Products Export Development Authority revealed that the total export of sea-foods during 1976 was 62,151 tonnes earning 179.9 crores of rupees worth foreign exchange. The prevailing high prices and shortages in the country in almost all constituents of livestock feed had motivated animal feed scientists to explore and experiment with new wested, new conventional products to use them as animal feeds. Rubber seed is one such Agro Industrial product where for its profitable utilization as a non-conventional livestock feed science and technology can be perfected. Over 90 per cent of rubber plantation in India is in Kerala. Based on the statistics available on seed/cake production the total annual availability of rubber seed cake (R. S.
