During the last ten to fifteen years, there have been some significant changes, which are already evident in to-day's food service operations throughout the country. The present trends of eating away from home, particularly among the urban people, are largely due to the effects of population growth, more women in the working force, more working hours, availability of subsidised food in institutional cafeterias etc.
