Abstract

For eons the transfer of knowledge from one generation to the next generation took place primarily because of rote learning.Especially in India, the transcendental form of knowledge such as that of Veda's is preserved because of rote learning. It is no longer a secret truth that spiritual and value added education is as much required as that of scientific knowledge in view of the burgeoning crisis of inhuman acts such as barbarity and terrorism everywhere which if not controlled may engulf the whole human civilization. In rural and far flung areas, even science is learnt by rote learning initially and then in subsequent step it gets automatically converted to activity and creativity based learning with the help of incessant rumination process. So rote learning is sine-qua-non for establishing the symbiosis between science and spirituality from incubation stage to pragmatic stage in human civilization. An honest endeavor is made to resurrect the glory of unsung rote learningwhich otherwisewas in oblivion and abandoned state.

Abstract

From time immemorial our ancestors are diligently striving to harness the application of the science in day to day life. In those days science were in formative phases unlike what is visible these days. Science has created unparalleled spectacle everywhere. Social and spiritual scientists have the same conviction when they say that science without spirituality will do no good but culminate in the conflagration of communal violence and war of attrition and eventually the cataclysm. What advantage did we get of the advance product of science i.e. atom bomb: destruction of Nagasaki and Hiroshima of Japan. Science without spirituality will cause cataclysm and annihilation of the world. In order to have regulated use of science only for humane causes, everybody needs to assimilate and imbibe quintessential essence of spirituality in ourselves. Scientific and spiritual implication of robust and optimal control from the standpoint of their pragmatic impact on the holistic development of human being has been elegantly highlighted in the present paper. In this paper, it has been highlighted that for Impeccable Governance and Leadership in any country, assimilation of quintessential essence of spirituality in engineering education is prerequisite.

Abstract

World over there is no dearth of entrepreneur in the field of Industry but there is dearth of entrepreneurship in the field of Human Resource Development (HRD). Due to lack of soul stirrer in the form of human resource developer many otherwise innocent engineer, technocrats and scientists are joining terrorist organization all over the world which is a matter of great concern. Thinking process of many great souls have culminated that HRD entrepreneurship to create human capital is even more important than industrial entrepreneurship. In order to have holistic development of society perfect symbiosis between industrial entrepreneurship&HRD entrepreneurship is required. In the absence of this symbiosis, life is only robotized and may lead to catastrophe&cataclysm. Even after fair degree of development in the field of science and technology, the way sectarianism, bigotry and jingoism etc. is raising its ugly head, it may in no time engulf the vibrant civilizations. The main purpose of this paper is to highlight the need of engendering human entrepreneur who could stir up the conscience of the masses to follow the righteous path. Notwithstanding the ubiquitous and phenomenal development in the field of science and technology, nothing can practically serve the purpose without ethical and moral development of human resources and hence the new terminology 'HRD entrepreneur' has been coined and explained in this paper. Fair example may be that of Gandhi, Vivekananda, Jesus Christ, Buddha, etc. as HRD entrepreneur. Vivekananda's Chicago address stirred up the conscience of western thinkers and many became his followers and thus heralded a new concept of HRD entrepreneurship. In order to scatter the feeling of altruism&philanthropism, human resource development in terms of spiritual tenets along with science and technology is indispensable.

Abstract

Main objective of this paper is to ponder over the most invigorating and indispensable part of engineering education. Unlike arts subject, science is based on systematic and logic based knowledge. Many students develop inhibition and fear psychosis due to lack of pedagogically stimulating dispensation of class lecture. Study of science may work as a great stress buster if pedagogically simple and attractive method is devised. In this paper many examples such as that of mathematics and control problems are taken and how these can be made pedagogically attractive have been highlighted. To start with example of simple mathematics such as LCM (Least Common Multiple) and HCF (Highest Common Factor) has been taken and a warm touch has been given as to how an invigorating pedagogy may kindle the passion of even formative children. Subsequently some examples of probability theory and control system problems are taken just to buttress the fact that science devoid with empathetic and humane pedagogy may make even the simpler subject more complex one.

The main objective of the present paper is to investigate and exploit the inveterate symbiosis between science and spirituality. From the stand point of human system being most complex in the world and creator of all the system, need to be more conscientious and scrupulous in order to develop advanced form of civilization. In view of contagious and ubiquitous terrorism, barbarity and savagery, its ischolar_main causes and remedy has been tried to be found out. Analogy between man and machine has been taken to understand the scope of rapprochement between bestial instinct and humane instinct. These tasks has been accomplished by taking inference of different control approaches such as transfer function approach, pole placement approach and above all robust and optimal control approaches. True implication of success and failure is analogically portrayed by the example of DC machine. Psychic control of human being vis-a-vis the stability of control systems with reference to the left half and right half s-plane poles and zeros has been analogically and symbiotically highlighted and presented.

Abstract

In the light of escalating problems world over it is high time to look for remedies for the challenges and impediments in engineering education. This paper ponders over the feasibility whether possible to change the robotised and mechanized pattern of higher education to something which is humanitarian in approach. This is only possible by introducing the ethical ingredients in engineering education. India need to harness the demographic leverage it has over other countries for the holistic development of educational system. Leaving the sycophancy and hypocrisy behind, world leaders need to deal with the major challenges with iron hand in order to bring about paradigm changes in the engineering education. Different possible impediments and challenges have been highlighted and if government take up these things diligently then it may be hoped that the world will be free from evil things. No more bloodshed will be there, people will love each other and there will be better penetration of education so that even poorest of the poor may not remain deprived of engineering education and ethical values.
