Power electronics have rapid growth in research and prompt emergent technology in electrical discipline. Study of Power Electronics (PE) for undergraduate and post graduate students is very much necessary as every industry is driven with power electronic converter based control of electric drives. This paper showcases the teaching of PE with effective teaching methodologies such as project based, lab acclimatize learning etc., Project Based Learning is recognized to be a motivating and problem centric teaching, that not only supports the students to acquire core knowledge but also helps the students to transfer their technical knowledge into realtime application. Problem will be given to students and asked to solve it to fulfil the industrial requirement and to obtain the course attainment. In this review paper Project Based Learning (PBL) is introduced and the feedback of the students before and after introducing the PBL is analysed. Keywords

Simulation based approach to teach the Power Electronic course is proposed in this paper. The simulation tool is oriented towards Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) students at the undergraduate level, enrolled in courses such as Power Electronics, Power Semiconductor drives or the like. The proposed teaching methodology is demonstrated by simulation example of a realistic converter system. The paper discusses the MATLAB/SIMULINK tool and the implementation of simulation for enhancing student learning ability of complex power electronic systems. Keywords

The digital controllers are gaining a significant part in an extensive variety of designing applications. Chip courses are at present educated by all building branches of all existing colleges on the planet. The traditional strategy for educating such courses to a great extent is in view of hypothesis and having lab course.Practice and application situated methodology in training is essential, and some do research on active learning and cooperative problem solving. It have shown that a student will learn faster and develop better communication skills, leadership qualities and team work ambiance through these methods. In this paper, another methodology is proposed for the educating of digital controller courses. This new approach empowers students to take in the down to earth utilization of digital controllers from a functional perspective. Keywords
