Dr. Shiyali Ramamritam Ranganathan (SRR) propounded the basic Laws of Library Science in the late 1920s. These Laws which were first presented at a Conference of Teachers in the Meenakshi College, Madurai in 1928'. In the last decade the Laws are found applicable to web resources and information services based on any medium.
