Spanish as a Foreign Language in Humanities Studies: Integrating of Linguistic and Socio-Cultural Elements through Spanish Phraseology

The development of the communicative competence in a foreign language and the study of the linguistic phenomena through the analysis of the pragmatics of discourse is an essential base in the study of Spanish and its role within the Humanities. In the field of the acquisition of Spanish as a second language with academic and didactic purposes, this article presents a reflection on the acquisition of Spanish as a means to understand the multicultural and diverse reality of the Hispanic world reflected in the phraseology and oral discourse. The purpose of this article is to provide professors of Spanish and students with an instrumental knowledge on Spanish idiomaticity in order for them to be proficient in the linguistic and socio-cultural aspects of the Spanish language.
