The variations in selected physico-chemical characteristics were investigated for one year to determine the water quality of Nideban reservoir of dist. Latur, Maharashtra. Two stations were selected on the reservoir to reflect the effect of human activities. Temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, carbon dioxide, total hardness and total alkalinity were analyzed during February 2009 to January 2010 using standard methods and procedure. The result indicated that physico-chemical parameters of the water were within the permissible limit and may be used for agriculture and fish culture.
