Events do not take place in isolation. There are always circumstances preceding any event as well as consequences. Any understanding of a phenomenon or a situation will usually have to be based on a knowledge and appreciation of the trajectory of circumstances which have lead up to it (O'Brienm, Remenyi 2004). Thinking historically is not an easy process. It definitely requires an appreciation of the dynamic nature of change in human systems, which of course are highly complex. Business history can be turned into actionable knowledge for decision making.
Business history of a nation has its own role in shaping the way its policymakers think about future desired goals related to economic, human and entrepreneurship development. The decisions made in the past limit or expand the available solutions. The business history serves as a potential tool for decision making. Other uses of business history can be using relevant past to unite and inspire people, to plan forward and to leave a legacy. However, research in Indian business history and its usage is still in its infancy (Tripathi, 2014).
This paper attempts to look at several perspectives on business history and progress of the scholarship in Indian business history. The paper also tries to propagate the potent uses of business history as a decision making tool, and suggest decision makers to encourage development and usage of Indian business history to script India's future. For this conceptual paper, the research undertaken is exploratory in nature with relevant secondary data.

This paper is based on the role of ethics in management. A comparison of the ethical management systems of MNCs in India and Indian Companies has been made covering various ethical management practices. The normal belief that ethical management systems in MNCs are better are found to be largely untrue. With reference to ethical practices, Indian companies fare better. For the purpose of comparison, the views of the senior management were only taken while the original research also covered middle management and employees. Keywords

Globalization is irreversible. We have reached a stage where no country in the comity of nations can live in isolation. Cross border business is the order of the day. Mobility of technology, human resource, capital, goods and services from one country to others is growing year after year. In particular, Information Technology has made remarkable impact on global business. Increasing mergers and acquisitions are new norms today. In this background, Transnational and Multinational corporations have to 'learn' to do business in different cultural, Political, Economic and Geographical environments. This is not only true with different countries, it is also true to a great extent within the same country. There would be sub-cultures and different Political, Economic and Geographical environments within a country. India is a good example for this. Hence, it is important to understand different cultures and cross cultural implications to successfully do business across the borders.- Editorial

Many of us opt for Credit Cards provided by various banks for the convenience it extends in making purchases on credit with no interest for a limited period and various other offers attached to it. The customer care rendered in giving this service is more or less similar with all the banks. What we take for granted is the various security barriers that the banks employ to protect the customer while making financial transactions. What we are unaware is the quality of these security barriers which we associate with the brand name, reputation and credibility of the bank we choose. No customer knows to what extent the data he gives the bank when filling the application form and other information that the banks emphasize that the customers should keep confidential leaks into the public domain till he / she experiences a breach in the security barriers that is meant to protect the customer. That is when the customer is exposed to the fraudulent transactions in his / her card due to negligence arising from irresponsible conduct by the customer or by the impact of external factors in digital transactions beyond the control of individuals. These are described as cyber crime in digital marketing. This case study is based on the real time experience of Victor (Pseudonym) as a victim of cyber crime in credit card based transactions. The purpose of this case study is to share Victor's experience as a victim of cyber crime and reveal the inadequacies in the electronic financial transactions in India with particular reference to credit / debit card based transactions in digital marketing and expose the attitude of the service provider, namely the concerned bank (Bank X) (identity not revealed), in withdrawing their customer support at such a crucial juncture, thus turning customer care into a customer's nightmare. The steps to be taken by the victim to mitigate the impact of cyber crime has been given in detail as prescribed by the Cyber Crimes Cell. The steps to be taken in seeking relief as recommended by the bank as service provider has been stated under 'Escalation Matrix' in the study. In addition, precautions to be adopted in card based transactions has also been discussed. Keywords
