The INDO-US Joint Commission for Science and Technology has identified scientific and technical information as an important area for bilateral cooperation between India and USA. The organisation of the joint seminars is one of the items for such cooperation. The Indo-US Seminar was held at Washington during 13 to 15 October 1976. It discussed the "information resources in energy environment and natural resources".
