The medical disorder known as hyperlipidemia is characterized by unusually high amount of lipids in the blood (fatty substances). This illness is also associated with being overweight. Even though hypolipidemic drugs are commonly used to treat cardiovascular diseases and stroke, there is a possibility that they may cause undesirable side effects.
