The order Hymenoptera consists of a variety of stinging insects which include honey bees, yellow jackets, hornets and wasps. Allergic manifestations to their stings are well recognized but the complications leading to acute kidney injury is less common. We report a 2 years old male child who survived after an unusually severe envenomation following multiple wasp stings resulting in hypertension, intravascular hemolysis, rhabdomyolysis, renal failure and multi-organ dysfunction
