A Parametric Decomposition Method to Enhance Labour Productivity: a Relative Study in Organised Manufacturing Sector of Odisha, India

Technological progress is going to be one of the most important factors responsible for the industrial development of Odisha. To support the technological progress, a well educated, skilled&developed work force with a better&low cost production facility must be essential for the growth of the manufacturing sector of Odisha which comprises maximum number of medium and small scale industries in the State. This study aims to evaluate the effect of technological changes on labour productivity using the data of Economy survey of Odisha, 2010-11, published by Govt. of Odisha. The role of educated workers to accept the technological changes which leads to improvement of total factor productivity (TFP) is also investigated in this paper. A mathematical model is prepared with advanced calculus to measure the output level when uneducated workers will be replaced with low cost machines&minimum number of educated workers. In addition to this, a formulated numerical analysis is verified with reference to the given published data by using regression and correlation approach.
