An experiment conducted in the laboratory is described in this paper which demonstrates the cooling effect caused via two endothermic reactions as a results of atmospheric air exposure to lightning. Based on the experimental evidences, a proposal has been made to create artificial rain by triggering the lightning in the atmosphere by sending a high power laser beam.

Abstract

An experiment conducted in the laboratory is described in this paper which demonstrates the cooling effect caused via two endothermic reactions as a results of atmospheric air exposure to lightning. Based on the experimental evidences, a proposal has been made to create artificial rain by triggering the lightning in the atmosphere by sending a high power laser beam.
