The objective of this paper is to enhance the Power Quality of Network joined Off-shore Wind Farm (OWF) and Marine Current Farm (MCF) under some non-linear conditions by help of a STATCOM and it is planned utilizing model control hypothesis to contribute powerful damping attributes. Here a PID and an ANN based damping controllers are designed and compared. The system is simulated without STATCOM first and then STATCOM with PID and ANN based controllers are used. The ANN based controller reduces the magnitude of the oscillations far better than the PID controller an also reduce the settling time of the system. From the simulation results we can conclude that the ANN based controller can effectively damp the oscillations than the PID controller and enhances the power quality.
