Courtship Behaviour of Tiger in Wild

Male tiger during courtship if at any stage feels that some other male tiger is probably approaching the courting female, the courting male immediately runs towards the approaching male. Even alarming call of sambar, cheetal,langoor etc. is sufficient enough to alert the male. The male tiger may show off its strength by climbing a tree or by jumping from higher points on hill slope. In due course of time an Individual may develop liking for a particular individual of other sex. Tigress may attack another tigress courting with its favourite male tiger.
