The indigenous tribal communities of Arunacbal Pradesh have been enjoying traditional rights over the forests and natural resources in their village boundaries. The customary laws have governed these relatively closed societies which were supplemented with the general policy of initial exclusion and later non-interference in their way of life. These societies have been practising Jhum for ages, a practice which is excoriated and repressed elsewhere in the country and the world, but taken as accepted here. The policy and legal framework also broadly supports the same and upholds their traditional rights. This paper attempts to bring forth the vario.us community management practices in these societies, describes the administrative and legal support for the same and traces the changes taking place in the traditional systems of community resource governance.- Apnavan Plantations in Arunachal Pradesh: an Agro-forestry Scheme for Rehabilitation of Degraded Jhum Lands through People's Participation

Owing to geographical isolation and topographical remoteness, the diverse tribal groups of Arunachal Pradesh have traditionally been practicing Jhum cultivation for ages. Jhum has reportedly affected some 0.23 million ha land ofthe State and nearly 54,000 families are reported to be subsisting on this age old practice. A scheme under the name Apnavan was initiated by the Department of Environment & Forests of the State to rehabilitate the degraded Jhum areas by involving the local people using agro-forestry practices. The scheme has been there for over a decade and an area of 13,645 ha has been developed from 1990-1991 to 2000-2001. This paper attempts to analyze the various issues related to the scheme, the progress achieved so far and the major constraints in the way of its successful implementation.- Fixed Point Theorem in Fuzzy Metric Spaces Satisfying E.A Property

The present paper is an attempt to prove common fixed point theorem for six mappings in fuzzy metric spaces. Our main result extends and improves the strict contractive conditions on fuzzy metric spaces and establishes the existence of common fixed points for six mappings under general contractive condition of integral type by using E.A property. The concept of weak compatible mappings is also used to prove the desired result.Keywords

While research exploring the relationship between leadership and creativity is scant, there exists even smaller research analyzing the impact of specific supervisory behaviors on creativity. The first part of the study identifies a set of supervisory behaviors that has the potential to impact Employee Creativity. The second part of the study addresses the mechanisms through which leaders influence Employee Creativity and presents organizational justice perceptions, positive psychological capital and work motivation as important mediating variables. The study uses a combination of in-depth interviews and literature review to develop a causal framework linking leadership to Employee Creativity.References

Primary open angle glaucoma is one of the leading causes of irreversible but preventable blindness in the population above the age of 40 years. This study was conducted to find out correlation between high myopia and primary open glaucoma with a view to ascertain whether high myopic (>-9 D) patients above the age of 40 years were at a higher risk of developing primary open angle glaucoma (POAG).
The present study was carried out on 84 eyes of 53 high myopic patients. It was found that there was a definite correlation between high myopia and primary open angle glaucoma patients. The incidence of primary open angle glaucoma was 19.05 %, whereas in glaucoma suspect cases, it was 13.09 %. The incidence of primary open angle glaucoma was clearly associated with refractive state and increased gradually with the increase in severity of myopia. We also found a significant correlation between mean axial lengths&mean intraocular pressure and correlation between mean axial length&mean cup disc ratio of all myopic eyes. The gross appearance of the highly myopic eyes was oval or egg shaped, it was enlarged, but the elongation of the eyes was almost entirely confined to the posterior pole, the anterior half of the globe was usually normal.

Introduction: Ocular trauma is a common co-existing injury, often missed, in poly-trauma. Delayed diagnosis may lead to vision threatening consequences. It is important to diagnose it early so as to prevent ocular morbidity.
Patients and Methods: A prospective observation study comprising 50 patients with positive Ultrasound findings referred to our department and having history of ocular trauma. Ocular Ultrasound was done and various findings were recorded and analysed.
Aims and Objectives: To study the spectrum of ultrasound findings in ocular trauma and to advocate the liberal use of Ultrasound in this clinical setting.
Observations and Results: The age of the patients in the sample ranged from 8-63 years with mean age being 26 years. The commonest pathologies to be encountered were vitreous haemorrhage and anterior chamber abnormalities. Foreign body detection and retinal detachment followed thereafter. Other abnormalities of globe, lens, retinal detachment and choroid detachment were also observed and analysed.
Conclusion: In our study, the higher percentage of major ophthalmologic findings like vitreous haemorrhage and anterior chamber abnormalities appear to be due to the fact mainly those patients, in whom clinical examination was not possible, were referred for ocular Ultrasound examination. These included ones in whom eyelids were either swollen or had open injuries, and also in whom posterior chamber was inadequately visualized due to anterior chamber rendered opaque by injury. The study showed that ultrasound is an excellent modality to diagnose extent and nature of ocular trauma. Thus we propose liberal use of ocular ultrasound in an emergency setting of ocular trauma.

The present study examines the relationship between HRD climate and customer satisfaction. The HRD climate is conceptualized as comprising three components: general climate, OCTAPAC and HRD mechanisms. A survey based study was conducted in the Indian private banks and collected dyad level data. The data was collected from the employees and customers who were served directly by the bank employees. Data analysis was performed using a SEM technique, which showed that all the three components of HRD climate have a positive impact on customer satisfaction. Information and communications technology (ICT) industry has transformed the lives of many across the globe in ways that one would have never conceived of a decade ago. One of the fundamental reasons for the growth in the ICT industry is attributed to innovation. The survival and growth of ICT companies are affected by extent they adapt innovation to provide newer and wider variety of product. Due to the innovative nature of ICT products and competitive nature of the industry, products have shorter life cycle, which further increases unpredictability of demand and risk of obsolescence. In addition, the ICT product companies have started competing on global scale through their supply chain, which requires not only being efficient and responsive, but also innovative. For ICT companies the innovations are crucial not only at the product level, but also at the process and supply chain levels. The innovations in supply chain should not be restricted to the focal firm, but would stretch to suppliers, channel partners as well as retailers. Firms having effective management of innovations in their products and also in supply chain will lead the industry and will have global outreach. This paper examines the literature and explores the various innovative practices followed by the ICT companies to establish the relationship between innovation and its management across the supply chain. The paper provides a conceptual framework for managing innovations in the supply chain of ICT products.

Circularly polarized waves can be obtained from patch antennas when a square patch is excited by two feeds, with their inputs having a 90° phase shift. A new, circularly polarized small-size micro strip antenna using a proximity coupled feed method is proposed. A simple configuration based on a cross slot with unequal slot lengths on a circular patch is adopted to realize a small-size element antenna. The proposed antenna has no 90° hybrid coupler for circular polarization. The measured results verify the circular polarization, and the antenna radius was reduce by about 22% by using the slot lengths which are nearly equal to the diameter of the circular patch antenna. Good impedance and axial ratio characteristics have been obtained.Keywords

Problem statement: In this vast cutthroat business environment, the economic importance is growing and the environment issues are expanding due to failure in the maintenance of the use of natural resources. So, it is imperative for the green marketers as well as for the green manufacturers to understand youth intention towards green product in a marketing context. For this reason, this study serves the function of examining the two variables, namely, subjective norms and perceived behavioural control, which could influence youth intention towards green products in India.
Methodology: Survey method has been used to collect data from PG students of the University of Jammu, using a well-structured questionnaire. Extensive review of literature has also been done and the questionnaire has been duly purified and validated before the data analysis. Structural Equation Modeling has been used to investigate the relationship between the two factors viz., subjective norms & perceived behavioural control and youth green intention.
Results: The results revealed a significant impact of subjective norms and perceived behavioural control on green purchase through various factors, namely, peer group influence, social expectations, reference group views, green information, ability to buy and availability of products.
Conclusion and Implications: The study came with some valuable suggestions for the marketers and society. For example, the green marketers must first understand the factors affecting the green perceptions of the youth and then position their products. By this, ultimately society will be benefited as the people will get eco-friendly and healthy products.

The purpose of this paper is twofold: to appraise the impact of green satisfaction and green loyalty on the purchase behavior of young consumers toward green products positioning, and to study the relationship between green satisfaction and green loyalty. Data was collected from 620 students of the two universities in Amritsar and Himachal Pradesh, representing two states of north India, through the distribution of well-structured questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM). Based on the SEM results, both the constructs green satisfaction and green loyalty were found to have significant impact on green purchase behavior. Furthermore, green satisfaction also positively impacted green satisfaction. Green satisfaction can be used by companies to win and sustain the green loyalty of the consumers, thereby improving green purchase behavior. Augmented level of green satisfaction and green loyalty is observed as a lead for the green marketers, which can be used to make the consumers habitually purchase green products, thus avoiding products that harm the environment and human health. The current study added to the existing green purchase behavior literature by assessing the impact of green satisfaction and green loyalty on the purchase behavior of consumers toward green products. Additionally, this study helps the green marketers in framing suitable strategies to boost the satisfaction and loyalty levels of consumers toward green products.Keywords

Since the last decade, consumers pay more attention towards green products, and so, there is a sudden increase in the demand of herbal products for health care and beauty care, not only among the women, but also among the male youth. The present study is an attempt to understand the buying behaviour of male youth towards the herbal products. Both primary and secondary data were used for conducting the study. For primary data, 320 questionnaires were distributed among the boys is three hostels of Jammu University; however, only 310 responses were derived, resulting in a response rate of 96.8%. Secondary data were collected using the Internet and journals. Raw data from 310 respondents was purified using factor analysis, and analysed using regression and correlation test. It is found that the male youth give importance to the brand along with the performance of the herbal products. It is suggested that marketers should properly promote the herbal products among the male youth, through advertisements and periodical awareness campaigns; fix reasonable price for the herbal products, considering the disposable income of the various classes; conduct periodic upgradation of product attributes in accordance with the demands of the male youth; introduce more herbal products with positive health features, and so on.Keywords
