Digital Image Processing, Vol 6, No 1 (2014), Pagination: 16-21Abstract
In this paper an attempt has been made to design a cryptography scheme based on fractal theory. The visual cryptography scheme was implemented in such way that the secrete image will be encoded into a form where intruder finds at most difficulty to trace out the secrete image. In this technique the original or the secrete image has been divided into a number of sub images called share images. The share images are formed by taking a dummy image called host image and inserting the share or part of the secrete image. At the other end of the communication, from these share images, the shares will be separated and will be merged to form the original image. With this technique to transmit an image twice the memory of the secrete image size is required. By incorporating subjective tests the results are proved to better than the existing spatial domain techniques. The proposed technique can be extended by implementing using robust transforms. The objective test metrics need to be designed so that the evaluation can be done effectively.

Spirulina platensis (fam: Cyanophyaceae) is a blue green fresh water algae. It is a simple, single - celled alga that thrives in warm alkaline fresh water. It is helical in shape and hence the name Spirulina. Spirulina is being developed as the food of the future due to its very high nutritional value. The present work deals with identification of the different constituents of Spirulina using HPTLC finger printing. The dried form of algae was used to prepare extracts of Spirulina in different polar and non polar solvents like petroleum ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate, ethanol and water. The extracts were then subjected to different chemical tests. The ethanol extract presented a good result for the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids and steroids. The ethanol extracts was then subjected to HPTLC analysis in various solvents, suitable for alkaloids, flavonoids and steroids. The HPTLC fingerprinting results confirmed the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids and steroids.Keywords

Spirulina plantensis (fam: cyanophyaceae) is a blue green fresh water algae. It is a simple, single- celled alga that thrives in warm alkaline fresh water. It is helical in shape and hence the name spirulina. Spirulina is being developed as the food of the future due to its very high nutritional value. The extracts were then subjected to antibacterial studies using Muller Minton agar and fresh strains of E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus and Ciprofloxacin as the standard drug. Antifungal studies were perform using potato dextrose agar medium and fresh strain of Aspergillus niger and Griseofulvin, as the standard drug cup diffusion method was followed for both the studies. It was found that when compared with standards and among the extracts, the ethanol extract showed a significant antibacterial and antifungal activity.Keywords

Stevia rebaudiana is one of the main constituent of various herbal formulations available for diabetes. The present study was aimed at assessing the antihyperlipidemic (Total cholesterol and triglycerides) effect of the aqueous extract of Stevia rebaudiana in alloxan induced diabetic rats. The powdered leaf was successfully extracted with water using maceration process. The wistar strains of male albino rats were used for the present study. The aqueous extract of Stevia Rebaudiana was administered intraperitoneally injection as a dose of 60mg/kg body weight to alloxan induced diabetic rats and it was found to reduce blood lipid level significantly (p<0.05). The plant extraction also exhibit correction of altered biochemical parameters like SGOT and SGPT levels in diabetic rats. The study concluded that Stevia Rebaudiana possess hypolipidemic effect in experimental diabetic rats.Keywords

The present investigation attempted to study the effect of disintegrants and processing methods on the physicochemical and in vitro release characteristics of immediate release tablets of Bosentan Monohydrate. To achieve this goal various formulations of Bosentan Monohydrate were prepared by direct compression, wet granulation and fluidized bed granulation methods to achieve maximum drug content with reference to innovator. Varying proportion of disintegrants such as sodium starch glycolate, pregelatinised starch used to compare drug release profile with innovator. Different formulations were prepared and evaluated with respect to various precompression and post compression parameters. The results indicated that the superdisintegrants used have influenced on the disintegration time. The final selection of the formulation F8 (f2 = 71) containing sodium starch glycolate was based on highest f2 value among all formulations with reference to marketed product.Keywords

The development of Big Data is rapidly accelerating and affecting all areas of technologies by increasing the benefits for individuals and organizations. Big data can be categorized by its volume, variety and velocity. Since data size is bigger, it requires sophisticated techniques, tool and architectures to analyze the data. To extract knowledge from Big Data, various models, programs, softwares, hardwares and technologies have been designed and proposed. They try to ensure more accurate and reliable results for Big Data applications. In fact, many parameters should be considered: technological compatibility, deployment complexity, cost, efficiency, performance, reliability, support and security risks. This paper is a case study that review recent technologies developed for Big Data. It aims to help to select and adopt the right combination of different Big Data technologies according to their technological needs and specific applications’ requirements.Keywords
