The race for an employer to be seen differently has only intensified in recent years mainly due to the availability of multiple opportunities and scarcity of good quality talent in the emerging markets. Employer branding is fast emerging a potential tool not only to communicate the potential employees but also to the existing employees that the value proposition of the current employer supersedes their competitors. Participated by 240 executives from various organsiations the study shows the importance of managing employer brand image for existing employees through highlighting the difference between the existing and preferred levels of employer attributes. It further highlights the relationship between employer brand attributes and job related attitudes showing how these attributes impact them.References

Engaging a worker remains a big challenge for organisations. Research suggests that understanding work values of professionals enables organisations keep the workers engaged. Besides analyzing the work value preferences of social work professionals in India, the study empirically examines the relationship between demographic variables and work value preferences. In all 200 social workers from various sectors in the National Capital Region participated in the study. The study suggests that social work professionals preferred work values which could have helped them realized their potential while giving least priority to social interaction, social relation and dependency values. Demographic variables like age, education, religion and gender were found to impact the work value preference of social workers.References

This research paper examines employee involvement climate as a construct and its impact on job satisfaction, organisational commitment and turnover in Indian organisation. The framework of this study has been provided by the earlier work on employee involvement by Lawler and others (Lawler, 1996; Lawler et al., 1995) and further examined by Riordan et al, 2005). With a total sample of more than 100 junior and middle level executives, the findings of this study show a strong relationship between employee involvement climate variables and job satisfaction, affective commitment and turnover Performance based review was found to be the predictor of job satisfaction while information sharing and training had significant impact on affective commitment. The findings of this study allows the researchers and practitioners to understand the important role of the constituent variables, dynamics of how involvement climate affects work related attitude and the importance of creating enabling work environment.Keywords

Knowledg-the insights, understandings, and practical know-how that we all possess, is the fundamental resource that allows us to function intelligently. The present day challenges of an organisation makes it imperative for them not to rely upon the age old way of remaining competitive in the market necessitating the knowledge creation and consistent innovation. Over time, considerable knowledge is also transformed to other manifestations as these transformations result in cumulated expertise and, when used appropriately, increased effectiveness. Knowledge is one, if not the, principal factor that makes personal, organizational, and societal intelligent behavior possible. Given the importance of knowledge in virtually all aspects of daily and commercial life, knowledge must be managed effectively to ensure that the basic objectives are attained to the greatest extent possible. In this context, knowledge management in organizations must be considered from different perspectives-business, management and operational perspectives, with different horizons and purposes.
