Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world. The education in engineering begins with theories and progressing to the application of learnt theories. Different methods exist in engineering teaching and learning process. Teaching can be done in many ways - Generally by giving lectures, demonstrations and deliberations. These ways focuses on principle content, emphasizing memory, applications, and understanding the subject. Learning by a student happens in many ways- by seeing and hearing, reflecting and acting, memorizing and visualizing and drawing analogies and building mathematical models. This paper mainly emphasis on innovative methods of teaching and learning process with multidisciplinary approaches to increase the standards of the engineering education and an illustration on engineering education. Keywords

The study was conducted among the students of 18-19 years studying in the city of Bangalore. 100 samples were collected in a major educational institutional the students of the institution were the respondents. Simple random sampling was used. The study reveals that about 59% of the adolescents are into one or multiple health risk behaviors and it is parental monitoring, a source of parental influence, which is significantly associated with the overall health risk behavior, (p value <0.05). Parental monitoring is an influence proved to be there deciding the presence or absence of health risk behaviors namely consumption of tobacco, alcohol, drugs and practice of unsafe sexKeywords

In traditional industrial system there is a possibility of faulty products being produced along with the good products. These may sometimes go unnoticed to the packing sector and they mix up with the good ones. This leads to many controversies from the customers. There is a need for automation to detect these faulty products so that only good products are packed and sent out to the world and the status of the company is maintained. The implementation is done by attaching a video camera over the conveyor where the finished products come out. The implementation also has a compression process to compress and store the captured frame to store it for future reference. H.264 algorithm is used here for compression. This uses discrete cosine transform to do the compression. Keywords

The Zika virus is a mosquito-transmitted infection common in Africa and Asia, it did not begin spreading widely in the Western Hemisphere, when an outbreak occurred in Brazil. Few people with less immunity, showed rapidly spreading with infection. Millions of people in tropical regions of the Americas now have been infected. The infection causes no symptoms and leads to no lasting harm. Scientific concern is focused on women who become infected while pregnant and those who develop a temporary form of paralysis after exposure to the virus. The World Health Organization has declared the Zika virus an international public health emergency, that it causes birth defects. As many as four million people could be infected by the end of the year.
Officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have urged pregnant women against travel to more than thirty countries, mostly in the Caribbean and Latin America, where the outbreak is growing. Some pregnant women who have been to these regions should be tested for the infection.
The infection appears to be linked to the development of unusually small heads and brain damage in newborns - called microcephaly - as well as other neurological defects. In adults, the virus is linked to a form of temporary paralysis. The vast majority of Zika infections are transmitted by mosquitoes, sexually transmitted in only few cases (around dozen).
Recently Bharat Biotech, a Hyderabad-based vaccines and bio-therapeutic manufacturer, developed a vaccine to fight against the dreaded mosquito-borne Zika virus.
This review gives an idea about the recent advances or developments available for treating Zika infection.

Drugs are made to save lives and not cause deaths. Every drug has some side effect if the dose of the drug is correct, then it can be avoided. Some drugs side/ adverse effects can be reduced by another drug. Hence, doctor prescribed medication is safer then self medication. Banned drugs have more adverse/ side effects. Doctors should stop prescribing banned drugs and due to less demand manufacturer will not produce such drugs. As well as the government should make strict laws against the peoples involved in manufacturing and selling of banned drugs. Government should be ordered to dump these cheap drugs in proper manner. And also, India's pharmacovigilance effort has to be scaled up rapidly. People should say stop selling banned drugs. Keywords

A series of mannich bases of 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazole derivatives were designed and optimized with Auto Dock 4.2 to investigate the interaction between the target compounds and the amino acid residues of Biotin Carboxylase. Molecular descriptor properties were predicted by Molinspiration software. The free energies of binding and inhibition constants (Ki) of the docked ligands were calculated by the Lamarckian Genetic Algorithm (LGA).Among all the designed compounds, the compound 4e and 6d showed more binding energy-8.85 and -8.56 kcal/mol respectively when compared with the binding energy of the standard drug Mebendazole (-7.24 kcal/mol). Whereas the remaining compounds showed the binding energy in the range between -3.09 to -6.61 kcal/mol. These values suggested that the designed benzimidazole derivatives 4e and 6d are an excellent inhibitor of Biotin Carboxylase. Keywords

Today’s fluctuating and composite world places increasingly superior demands on students in schools. Not only do students have academic pressures, they also face cultural, social, economic and family pressures. These pressures lead to different manifestations such as drug abuse, alcohol abuse, suicide, anti- social behaviours, dropping out of schools etc. A group of well trained counsellors with a good understand of professional skill requirement is increasingly becoming the need of the hour for Indian schools. But as far as India is concerned there are no authentic associations for school counsellors. This makes the process of identifying emerging skill requirements, enhancing these skills and monitoring the performance of counsellors very difficult. The article gives a detailed description of skills essential for the school counsellors. school counsellor’s understanding about the skill requirement in counselling. The study was conducted in schools under Central Board of Secondary Education and Kerala State Education Board in Ernakulum district, Kerala. Descriptive research design was used. Only trained counsellors in the field of social work and psychology were included in the study. It was a Census study using a sampling frame consisted of counsellors in high schools and higher secondary non-residential schools within Ernakulum district in Kerala. The population consisted of 118 school counsellors.

Patient welfare is the prime objective of Medical and Psychiatric Social Workers. Trained professional Social Workers contribute significantly to the well-being of patients by acting as a link between hospital team and patient and family. This study aims to describe key negotiation strategies used by the Medical and Psychiatric Social Work team and its effect on patient welfare in a tertiary care hospital. The Study was conducted among approximately 75,000 patients who had been admitted for medical and surgical interventions in a multispecialty hospital. A structured questionnaire was used to collect the quantitative data from approximately 15,000 patients who represented the in-patients. The data had been collected for two years duration; combined quantitative and qualitative data from patients and hospital staff were used for the study. Members of Medical Social Work team were actively involved in collecting feedback from admitted patients. They discussed the same feedback with the operational team of the hospital and tried to influence the hospital policy. A collective effort led to significant improvement in patient satisfaction score. Relationship with patients and hospital management and use of research skills are essential to enhance the negotiation abilities of Social Workers in the hospital sector. Negotiation for patient welfare will help Social Workers to add values to hospital management and patient satisfaction.

A series of some novel mannich bases substituted Benzimidazole derivatives were synthesized by condensing Benzimidazole with various aromatic aldehydes and different amino compounds in the presence of ethanol. The purity of the compounds were checked by thin Layer Chromatography and Melting point determination method. The functional group of the compounds were characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy. The Structures of the synthesized compounds were optimized with Auto Dock 4.0.1 to investigate the interaction between the target ligand and the amino acid residues of Biotin Carboxylase to determine the probable model. The title compounds were subjected to preliminary QSAR study using Molinspiration software. All the newly synthesized benzimidazole derivatives were evaluated for their invitro anti-bacterial activity by disc diffusion method by measuring the zone of inhibition and the results were comparable to standard. Keywords
