In the present study an attempt was made to elaborate Human Rights awareness among teacher trainees from Ludhiana district. A sample of 160 teacher trainees was administered. Subsequently the data was subjected to statistical analysis. Results clearly indicated that teacher trainees were above average aware of issues and concept of Human Rights. On the basis of area, gender and subject their exist a significant difference in the awareness level of Human Rights. Urban teacher trainees are more aware about Human Rights rather than rural teacher trainees. Science teacher trainees are highly aware about Human Rights rather than arts teacher trainees. Female teacher trainees are less aware about Human Rights rather than male teacher trainees.Full Text

Objectives: Two biometrics i.e. iris and thumbprint has been fused. Both biometrics has been chosen as they have worked well when applied as uni-modal system. The main goal of proposed module is that worked better to optimize the extracted features. Methods/Statistical Analysis: For reduction of features of iris, BFO has been utilized and for thumbprint GA has been used because GA have capability to optimized feature sets on the basis of fitness function according to our requirement. Findings: Low the FAR, FRR rate, high the efficiency of the system and high the recall ate value high is the efficiency of the biometric system. Application/Improvements: It has been seen that proposed algorithm has provided good results having FAR is 0.76; FRR is 0.94 and accuracy of 98%.Keywords

Bisphenols (BPs), as components of polycarbonates and laquer-coatings, are used for day to day household purposes, and frequent exposure has potential negative effects on each organ of the body, mostly evident by genetic changes and mitochondrial dysfunction. Children are at high risk due to higher accumulation per kg body weight which explicit toxic effect. Present strategies are to downsize exposure by replacing polycarbonates with wood, glass, stainless steel or green substitutes like bisguaiacol-F, soy protein isolate etc. At present, biodegradation by bacteria and fungus would be a great help to fight environmental bisphenols. It is necessary to come up with strong and functionally equivalent alternative to bisphenols which can safeguard future generations from further harmful effects.Keywords

Wheatgrass at young green stage is a powerhouse of nutrients and phytochemicals. Its various formulations are available in the form of extracts or powders used as health supplements. However, there is a huge potential of utilization for wheatgrass in the development of health foods for general good health as well as cure of disorders like metabolic syndrome, cancer, thalassemia, aneamia etc. With an aim to develop wheatgrass enriched health foods, the wheatgrass powder could be incorporated up to 10% in chapati and biscuits and up to 5% in bread without compromising the overall acceptability of the products. The free radical scavenging activity of chapati, biscuits and bread were increased significantly (p<0.05) at the optimized levels of enrichment of wheatgrass powder in these products. Food sprinkler enriched with 50% wheatgrass powder enhanced the free radical scavenging activity of the spices by 26% without affecting the sensory attributes of the product. Hence, these wheatgrass powder enriched health foods may possess health promoting properties owing to their high antioxidant activity.

In the present study, finger millet (Eleusine coracana) grains of variety VL Mandua-315 were soaked overnight and germinated (25° ± 2°C) for varying time intervals ranging from 12 to 96 h. Samples were drawn at every 12 h interval, dried at 50° ± 2°C, deculmed, powdered and analysed for physicochemical composition, functional properties and mineral content. A significant increase (P ≤ 0.05) in sugars, crude fibre, ascorbic acid, antioxidant activity and water solubility index and decrease (P ≤ 0.05) in starch, protein and ash was found with increase in germination time. Fat, total phenols and tannins reached their minimal value after 48 h of germination followed by a linear increase. Water absorption index, oil absorption index, foam capacity and foam stability decreased with soaking, followed by a linear increase up to 60 h of germination. Amongst all minerals tested, calcium showed a significant increase with increase in germination time. A clustered heat map was used to depict the effect of germination time on the overall properties of finger millet.Keywords
