Background: Today life style has changed. It has become more sedentary. Now there is an increasing tendency of people to spend long hours in the sitting position. Many people find that this position aggravates their problem. Flexibility is an important component of physical conditioning programme. Clinical studies have proposed that muscle does not undergo periodic lengthening will develop a decrease resting length and flexibility.

Objectives: Find out the co-relation of ITB tightness and postural low back pain.

Material and Methodology: In present observational Study, there were two groups Group A included 100 subjects with postural low back pain with the age group between 20-45 years and Group B included 100 normal healthy individual. Both Group were assess for the bilateral ITB tightness using Modified ober's test in this hip adduction angle was measured using bubble inclinometer. The data was collected and analyzed.

Results: Shows co-relation of Iliotibial band tightness and postural low back pain

Conclution: This study shows iliotibial band tightness is present significantly in postural low back pain. Therefore iliotibial band tightness assessment should be always included in the assessment format of low back pain.
