Acceptance single sampling plan is developed when the life test truncated for a pre-specified time based on product quality following Rayleigh distribution. The minimum sample sizes necessary to ensure the specified life time under a given customer's confidence level is determined for percentiles of Rayleigh distribution. The operating characteristic values of the single sampling plan are obtained and analyzed. Numerical example is provided to illustrate the selection of sampling plan.

Abstract

Acceptance single sampling plan is developed when the life test truncated for a pre-specified time based on product quality following Rayleigh distribution. The minimum sample sizes necessary to ensure the specified life time under a given customer's confidence level is determined for percentiles of Rayleigh distribution. The operating characteristic values of the single sampling plan are obtained and analyzed. Numerical example is provided to illustrate the selection of sampling plan.
