Childhood Sexual Abuse and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Child abuse is a social evil which cause immense harm to the child, its family and the whole community. The present paper discusses different categories of child abuse, especially sexual abuse and it's after effects. Sexual abuse at a tender age has a devastating effect on young mind. The prevalence, incidence&impact of sexual abuse in terms of post traumatic stress disorders both inside and outside, India are discussed here. The prevention aspect has also been discussed.
