Awareness and Perceptions of Health Insurance in Visakhapatnam City.

The basic issue related to health insurance is lack of concern even by the educated people for timely health management. Although the basic tenet prevention is better than cure has been put into practice by some people, majority of people even in affluent societies with their financial capabilities are paying least attention towards the health. Unfortunately people getting close to different lifestyles will ignore the signals of body indicating from time to time. With this state of affairs the health failure and break down becomes a big question mark as it will be too late to attend the problem. It is essential at deep ischolar_mained persuasion by the agencies should be established to create not only awareness but also be prepared to get health insurance by any cost which means to say health management should be considered as mandatory. The paper identifies the determinants of awareness and perceptions of respondents on health insurance in Visakhapatnam. The primary data is collected through structured questionnaires. Separate questionnaires were designed to elicit information about the demographic profile, awareness and perception of health insurance in Visakhapatnam.
