The importance of private banks in development of the economy is growing and their market share is on a rise for the past few decades making them a formidable competition to the public sector banks as well as the foreign banks. The Indian private sector banks are adopting to global service features and technological changes which is giving them a strategic advantage over the public sector banks but still the growth of the private sector is relatively less than the foreign banks.
