Leadership research has yet placed little empirical attention on how the role of managerial coaching Impacts on employee's attitude and the role of self efficacy in the relationship between coaching behavior and work outcomes. This study is to explore the impact of coaching behavior on employee's organizational oommitment and task performance through individual efficacy. Surveyed data from a Indian affiliate of a global insurance corporation includes 163 dyads of supervisor-subordinates of a global insurance corporation. Using structural equation modeling technique, the result indicated self efficacy had a mediation effect on the relationships between managerial empowerment, fostering teamwork and affective organizational commitment. First order factor, helping continuous learning, was not significantly related to self efficacy, but positively related to organizational commitment.
