The unsteady pulsatile flows of a viscous incompressible Newtonian conducting fluid through a porous medium in a circular pipe with slip boundaries are investigated. Main idea of our work is to study these phenomena mathematically and an exact solution of the equation of motion is obtained by applying Bessel function for the axial velocity and shear stress. The effects of permeability parameter (k), Knudsen number (kn) and Womersley parameter (α) on axial velocity and shear stress have been computed graphically.

Abstract

The unsteady pulsatile flows of a viscous incompressible Newtonian conducting fluid through a porous medium in a circular pipe with slip boundaries are investigated. Main idea of our work is to study these phenomena mathematically and an exact solution of the equation of motion is obtained by applying Bessel function for the axial velocity and shear stress. The effects of permeability parameter (k), Knudsen number (kn) and Womersley parameter (α) on axial velocity and shear stress have been computed graphically.
