Ethnomedicine for Jaundice used by the Tribals of Achanakmar-Amarkantak Biosphere Reserve, India

Ethnomedicinal survey was conducted in the Achanakmar-Amarkantak Biosphere Reserve, India. Tribal people are still dependent on forest vegetation. They have own system of herbal medicine. Information on 11 plant species belonging to 11 genera and 10 families which are traditionally used as medicine to cure jaundice was recorded.The documented medicinal plants were labeled alphabetically with their local name, family name, habit, mode of administration and status are given in the present paper.
