The purpose of this research article is to understand the awareness and relevance of Knowledge Management (KM) initiatives in the management institutes/ B-Schools affiliated to a state university. The methodology involves semi-structured interviews of 30 senior professors who have worked in different management institutions affiliated to such a state university in West Bengal. The interview transcripts have been analyzed for key phrases/words, categorized, examined for their frequencies. The findings from the study suggest implications for future development in the management education though integration of their key processes with that of Knowledge Management.
The integration of Knowledge Management Process with the key academic administration processes in tune with the favourable strategic enablers may lead to benchmarking of the B-School processes that offer degrees affiliated to the state universities.

Present day education system has gradually witnessed a sea-change with the advent of different technological advancements and has resulted into a vast change in its nature and deliberation. In fact, regards and recognitions are still due to those gurus for their endeavour of producing intellectual mass to the society. At the same time, there is an emerging need of having a modularized and personalized continuing educational system to cater the basic needs of individualized learning and to make everyone versatile and flexible with the prevailing updated technological advancements. Rapid development of technology has become the supportive strength of today's professional education advancement and has translated the entire education system more systematic and synchronized. Effective education system, backed by sound and structured technological support, largely addresses the entire community efficiently and brings everyone back to the mainstream of growth and prosperity effectively.
The present paper is a sincere attempt in this direction to validate the amalgamation of technology and education with due weightage to various ways and means applied in assuring right professionalism in education system.

Employee commitment, high productivity and retention strategies are the most serious human resource management challenges of the upcoming future. In this scenario employee turnover has a significant impact on decline of productivity and failure of corporate plans. The significance of motivation in retaining key employees cannot be overlooked. Extrinsic motivation is driven by reinforcement contingencies which is not sufficient, so it should be guided by intrinsic motivation which involves interesting job and making it pleasurable. Today's organizations are facing immense challenge because of fulfilling the requirements of four generational cohorts. Present workforce is dominated by generation y employees who have different values system and requirements in comparison to previous generations. Therefore it is vital for the organization to chalk down their needs and design an effective motivational system which will increase their productivity. This paper aims to focus on qualitative analysis to explore different intrinsic motivational factors influencing generation y employees and their preference for motivation. Conclusion and implications for further research have been drawn from the analysis.Keywords

In the current scenario training plays a vital role for employee development. The worth of training can be assessed by evaluation. The training is said to be effective when the trainees will apply the learning back to their job and life. Transfer of training in soft skill training is not possible without motivation to transfer. The purpose of this literature review is to explore different models theories and concept of training evaluation, motivation to transfer training. Also different factors contributing to motivation to transfer training has been studied. Basing the extant literature study, a conceptual model has been developed evaluate the factors before and after training which influence motivation to transfer training in soft skill training programmes.Keywords
