Prospects of e-Governance for Effective e-Governance Framework through ICT

In the constant change the need of e-Governance in India has steadily evolved from computerization of Government Departments to initiatives that encapsulate the finer points of Governance, such as citizen centricity, service orientation and transparency. This paper discusses the factors of prospects of e-governance for effective e-governance framework through ICT. This has understood by taking perception and mindset of modern citizens from Maharashtra State of India.

The research design used to carry out this research was descriptive in nature where in structured questionnaire was administered and collected 256 responses from various region of Maharashtra state.

The results of the study showed that the prospects of e-governance and level of importance for effective e-governance framework through the use of ICT does not vary region wise, as per educational qualification and gender. This research would be useful in framing Policy for creating pace for delivering services to the citizens and promote good e-governance in Maharashtra state.
