The effect of UV radiations and gamma radiations on cation transport across a model membrane containing 18C6 Crownether dissolved in CHCl3, have been studied. The magnitude of transportation decreased under UV radiation effect while it increased under ionizing radiation effect the same increased. Both the effects are more pronounced with the large sized cation such as caesium.
