The Plant ecology of Piram, a small narrow off shore island situated 21°36':72°21' in the Gulf of Cambay is presented in this paper. Based on habitat, substratum and edaphic features the plant communities of the island have been distinguished into 7 main categories under three vegetational zones. 74 species are enumerated and the flora resembles the one on mainland. The first ecologically annotated list of Vascular plants will form a background for a study of future changes.
