On some Invariants Associated with a Rectilinear Congruence

Weatherburn [5] has obtained expressions for the geodesic curvature, the normal curvature and the geodesic torsion of a curve of a singly infinite family of curves on a surface, at a point of it, in terms of the unit tangent vector to the curve, its curl and the unit normal to the surface at that point.
