The catalogue contains 535 determined species and 16 undetermined species of copepods associated with vertebrates (tunicate, marine and freshwater fishes), invertebrates (poriferans, cnidarians, molluscs, echinoderms) and sea weeds besides a number of free-living forms. These copepods belong to three orders, namely, Poecilostomatoida, Siphonostomatoida and Monstrilloida. The list contains information on habitat (marine, estuarine, brackishwater and freshwater), states, localities and host species. Seventeen species have been enlisted as doubtful records (taxon inquirenda). One species each belonging to Poecilostomatoida and Siphonostomatoida have been considered as invalid species (nomen nudum).

Keywords

Abstract

Keywords
