National Conference on Trends and Advances in Mechanical Engineering (TAME 2019) was organised during 15-16 February 2019 in Kalyani Government Engineering College, Kalyani, West Bengal, as a part ofthe Centenary Celebration of The Association of Engineers, India. The conference was an outcome of combined effort of The Association of Engineers, India, Kalyani Government Engineering College, Kalyani and Global Institute of Management and Technology, Krishnagar. More than sixty technical papers, apart from keynote speeches and invited lectures, were presented in the two-day conference. The conference consisted of parallel technical sessions on Manufacturing Technology (Machining, Grinding), Thermal and Fluid Engineering (two sessions), Management and Optimisation Techniques, Manufacturing Technology (Manufacturing, Robotics, Non-Traditional Machining), Manufacturing Technology (Welding), Applied Mechanics and Design Applications, and Materials Engineering. It was inaugurated on the morning of the 15th amidst a pleasant ambience of Kalyani in presence of luminaries from the academia.
