On January 18, 2014, an Awareness Programme on 'Industrial Safety' was organized by the Association at its Training Centre, Kolkata. This programme was conducted as desired by Elite Polytechnic Institute, Mogra, West Bengal. Large number of students along with staff and faculty members attended the event. Er. S.N. Basuray, the Honorary Secretary welcomed the participants to the Training Centre of the Association, and outlined different activities of this renowned organisation. Prof. Dr. Santanu Das, the Editor of the Association made a call to associate with the Association of Engineers, India. In the Inaugural speech, Prof. Dr. Madhusudan Bhattacharyya, the President addressed the gathering, and cited few live examples of his experience at a Bhadreswar plant where foundry section exploded. He told that SAFETY is nothing but 'SAFE To You'.
