Volume 84 (No.1&2, January-June, 2014 issue) of the Journal of the Association of Engineers, India has hopefully reached members and subscribers in time. I am happy that the printer has resumed in his work of printing after prolonged medical treatment. The current issue of the journal is a combined 3&4 (July-December) issue of Vol.84 of 2014.

The President of the Association, Prof. Dr. Madhusudan Bhattacharyya, in his column, gives a brief account of some of his long standing experience related to industrial consultancy, along with his valuable opinions on some current affairs. Papers included in this issue are related to Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Energy Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering.
