Zooplankton biomass and abundance were measured monthly from a coastal (15-25m) and an open (525m) stations Wadi-Kandil (Lattakia-SYRIA) between May 2009 and January 2011. Significant difference in zooplankton biomass were obtained among two stations and different sampling months. The highest biomass was recorded in August (0.89 mg. dry wt.m-3), the lowest in October (0.0017 mg. dry wt.m-3). A notable biomass was Low in comparison with another regions of Mediterranean sea, in the other hand biomass was highest at open stations than coastal stations. Surface temperature, chlorophyll-a, Pheophytin and nutrients concentrations were also measured. Zooplankton biomass was correlated with chlorophyll -a in the open station (P<0.05, R2=0.47). Significant correlation was observed between total zooplankton biomass and total solved inorganic nitrogen (P<0.005, R2=0.75) in coastal station.
