South India had always been one of the prime textile processing centres in India. It offers a wide range of textile processing, right from composite mills to manual yarn dyeing. The introduction of many chemicals in the textile industry where bleaching, dyeing, printing and finishing are carried out, has resulted in air contamination especially in the immediate vicinity of the machine endangering the health of the operators.
