Konganda Thammu Achaya, or 'Thammu', as he was affectionately called, reached heavenly abode on September 5, 2002. He was 79. He was a man of varied interests. He was a scientist, writer, musician, photographer and conversationalist. In him, we have lost not only a great scientist, but an even greater human being.
