We demonstrate the hybrid polymer-quantum dot based polymer light emitting diodes with a single active layer structure consisting CdSe/ZnS semiconductor quantum dots(QDs) dispersed in a Poly(dioctylfluorene) (PFO) polymer fabricated on indium-tin-oxide(ITO) substrate by using a simple spin coating method. It is observed that the electrical characteristics are significantly altered by adjusting the different spin speeds of the emissive layer. The device, with a configuration of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/PFO:CdSe-ZnS/Ca/Al had a turn-on voltage of 26V, the maximum luminance was 970 cd/m2, and the maximum luminous efficiency 1.53 cd/A.
