'Nay' Ranganathan:An Inquiry into His Writings Through References to Sanskrit Literature

Besides being the apostle of Indian librarianship, Ranganathan was a prolific writer as well on virtually all aspects of library and information science. In order to strengthen his convictions, he effectively cited from ancient Sanskrit literature on numerous occasions. While citing from such literature, mostly from his memory, some errors appears to have occurred. This paper attempts to point out some such cases and identifies the probable sources of correct citation
