Web Services play a dominant role in this era. Industries, organizations and institutions are moved to use various web services based on their needs. Instead of using privately owned software, the use of web services satisfies the requirements of the customers with the limited cost. Web services are getting increases day by day. Choosing the appropriate web services to meet our need with reduced cost is a tedious process today. This paper analyses various web service discovery and selection mechanisms which are available and intricate futuristic change which are needed in these methods in order to meet the customer requirements in an efficient manner.
