Psophocarpus tetragonolobus (L.) DC. is commonly known as winged bean or asparagus bean. The plant is a twinning perennial herb belonging to the family Fabaceae. Almost every part of this plant is tasty and edible. The protein and oil content of the plant is comparable to soybean.
