Population Projections for Aurangabad Municipal Corporation, 1981-2001

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation was established in December 1982 under the Bombay Provincial Municipal Corporation Act, 1949. Thirteen villages situated in the outskirts of Aurangabad city have been added to the city area in demarcating the boundaries of the newly established Corporation with an enlarged land area of 145 square kilometers.
