Benzothiophene and its derivatives exhibit a wide variety of biological activity of antibacterial. The synthesized compounds were tested for the biological activity against bacterial organisms. All the compounds show moderate antibacterial activity. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by IR and 1R NMR and mass spectral analysis.
