Traditional and Folklore use of Acacia nilotica (L.) in Ayurvedic System

People at ancient days are purely depends on herbal drugs. Why because at that time Allopathic system of medicine had not came into existence. Now days both Ayurveda and Allopathic systems of medicine had been flourishing because most of the chronic diseases are completely not eradicated by Allopathic drugs. For this reason Ayurvedic drugs are more preferred than Allopathic drugs. In India 3000 plants are used for the medicinal value. In general 6000 medicinal plants in India are in use in traditional, folklore and used as a herbal medicine. This article aims to provide a comprehensive review in Ayurveda for the pharmacological aspects of Antiasthamatic activity, loss of semen, blood vomiting, diarrhoea, blood motion, vatha, pitha, kapha, white discharge, impotency, strengthening of body, tooth ache, Cough, Mouth sores, Pneumonia, Skin crack, Burn etc.
