A New Analytical Method Development and Validation for Estimation of Ciprofloxacin in Bulk and Pharmaceutical Dosage Form

A sensitive, precise, accurate and simple UV spectrophotometric method has been developed for estimation of ciprofloxacin in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage form. The drug shows maximum absorbance at 273 nm (max). The linearity was observed in the concentration range of 5-50mcg/ml. The proposed method has been applied successfully to the analysis of cited drug in pharmaceutical formulation. Recovery study was performed to confirm the accuracy of the method. The method was validated as per ICH guide lines.
