It will lead to better utilization of resources and greater involvement of residents, paving way for the sustainability of future tourism development. A model to understand these perceptions was created using concepts from the literature. Factor analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to analyze the data collected from the residents. The results reveal that there is a strong correlation between the satisfaction of resident’s community and their perceptions regarding the impact of tourism on environment.
