Fault Tolerance and Detection

Faults are the state or condition of a system to perform differently from the normal state. It can be attributed to a number of reasons. Faults occurs when a system encounters errors which sometimes are not attended to and reaching their set threshold results in a fault condition. Systems including analog and digital devices in their working lives will develop some kind of faults ranging from minor to major fault conditions. This paper seeks to identify the various way of fault detection and tolerance.
